Question
The corridor walls in the administrative building (escape route) are faced with the medium density fiberboard. Will it be sufficient to recognized these walls as low combustible covered by your composition? Who should perform these works? What documents are required by the fire safety authority?

Answer
For the medium density fiberboard panels we recommend to use the fire retardant varnish - "VARNISH-BSP”. Prior to application of the varnish it is necessary to make control painting of a small area of the material and allow varnish to dry to ensure the good adhesion ability of varnish in relation to this particular surface. The flow rate of 410 /square meters for the treated materials provides the following indicators - Г1, B1, РП1, Д2, T2, the flame propagation index – 0 that ensures the fire safety requirements for the escape routes. The treatment shall be performed by the company owning a license for performance of the fire protection works. The fire safety authority requires the following documents: - the contract for fire-retardant treatment - certificate of completion - a license for the right to perform works - certificate for the fire-retardant material.
