Later he drove away and took pictures from a longer distance. "There was a caustic black smoke, the fire was not visible," - said the eyewitness. In a press-service GU Ministry of emergency situations of the Novosibirsk region reported that fires in this area are not fixed. The "Siberian generating company" (owner of CHPP-4) promised to comment on the situation later. As have told in a press-service of Novosibirsk branch "the Siberian generating company" on the morning of 12 may damage the bearing on the exhaust fan of one of the boilers of CHPP-4. Because of this, at 7:30 the operation of the exhauster had to be stopped. "At 10: 00 the combustion of fuel in the boiler was reduced by redistributing the load on other equipment. As a result of a transitional mode loading on a copper was reduced, from a pipe smoke of black color went. The color of the smoke was caused exclusively by the reduced combustion mode — the so — called under-heating of the fuel in the boiler," the SGK reported.
