SURFACE PREPARATION
Treated surface should be cleaned of any dirt and stains before the application of fire-resistant solution. Before the application, express testing should be performed in order to determine the effect of the solution on the product appearance, as well as the surface absorption parameters.
Sample of the product is being treated, dried, then set on fire using lighter, with the flame height around 4cm. The procedure length – 15 seconds. After fire source is removed, combustion should be non-existent, or should end within 5 seconds.
If the sample burns and not extinguishes – the fabric was treated with water-repellant solutions before. This sort of fabric should be washed, either with detergents or without them, with proper drying afterward.
OPERATING SOLUTION APPLICATION METHODS
The solution is ready to use and should not be diluted.
The solution can be applied via spraying until complete saturation or by dipping, considering the temperature between 0 °C and +40 °С.
After the treatment, fabric should be dried in plane shape, with the natural or forced ventilation.
To ensure even distribution of the treating solution, the fabric should be placed horizontally while drying.
If horizontal drying isn’t possible – the treatment should be processed by spraying the solution over the surface until light moisturizing in 2-3 courses, drying the fabric vertically before the applications. Considering temperature of +200С and humidity of 65-75%, the drying time for each layer is 2-3 hours. In conditions of lower temperatures, time of drying increases.
WARNING!
·Do not fold the fabric during drying process to avoid uneven solution distribution!
·Do not place the treated material on porous surfaces to avoid partial absorption of solution.
·Continuous contact of non-dried material with the metal pieces may lead to rust stains appearing.
